seminar registrations, speaking inquiries, general contact messages, and voluntary Georgia
assistance requests are separate pathways. The website should collect only the information
reasonably needed for the pathway a visitor chooses.
1. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Medicare: I Get It Now! website, its educational
forms, downloadable-resource requests, seminar and event registrations, speaking or hosting
inquiries, general contact forms, and the separate voluntary Georgia
individualized-assistance request pathway.
The book and website are independently published educational resources. This policy does not
govern the privacy practices of Medicare, CMS, HHS, SSA, HealthCare.gov, the Marketplace,
Amazon, other retailers, carriers, FMOs, Google, social-media platforms, or other third
parties.
2. Information the website may collect
Educational subscriptions and downloadable resources
The website may collect a first name, email address, selected audience category, requested
resource, consent record, date and time, and the page or campaign source.
Seminar and event registration
The website may collect a name, email address, optional phone number, selected event, number
attending, accessibility-accommodation request, general question, registration status, and
event-email consent.
Speaking and seminar-hosting inquiries
The website may collect an organization name, contact name, email address, optional phone
number, organization type, proposed date, location or virtual format, estimated attendance,
requested topic, and additional event details.
General contact
The website may collect a name, email address, optional phone number, contact reason,
preferred response method, message, form source, and submission time.
Voluntary individualized-assistance requests
The separate Georgia assistance form may collect a full name, email address, phone number,
optional Georgia city, state confirmation, general reason for requesting contact, preferred
contact method, preferred time, explicit consent records, form source, and submission time.
This pathway is separate from educational subscriptions.
Technical and usage information
When enabled in production, the website or its service providers may collect device, browser,
approximate location derived from an IP address, pages viewed, referring page, form events,
link clicks, cookie identifiers, and similar technical information used to operate, secure,
and measure the website.
3. How information is used
Information may be used to:
- deliver a requested educational resource;
- send educational emails when the visitor has provided educational-email consent;
- register a visitor for a seminar and send event-specific updates;
- respond to a speaking, hosting, book, resource, or general website inquiry;
- respond to a voluntary Georgia individualized-assistance request;
- maintain consent, source, and routing records;
- prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and technical problems;
- measure website performance and improve readability, navigation, forms, and content; and
- comply with applicable legal, regulatory, FMO, carrier, or record-retention obligations.
Educational consent is not treated as consent to individualized insurance assistance. An
individualized-assistance request is not treated as consent to general educational marketing
unless the visitor separately opts in.
4. Educational email choices
Educational emails may include articles, resources, book updates, and seminar announcements.
Each non-transactional educational email should include an unsubscribe method. Event
confirmations and event-operational notices are separate from general educational marketing
emails.
Unsubscribing from educational emails does not automatically cancel an event registration or
close an active assistance request. Visitors may use the contact page to request those
changes.
6. Service providers and information sharing
The website may use vendors that provide hosting, WordPress functionality, form storage,
email delivery, CRM or tagging, spam prevention, backups, security, analytics, calendar
synchronization, appointment scheduling, and other website operations. These providers
should receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect
rights or safety, investigate abuse, complete a business transition, or respond to a valid
legal request. The website should not publish form submissions.
The website does not sell personal information for money. Because privacy laws may define
“sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising differently, the production site must be reviewed
if Meta Pixel, cross-site advertising, or similar technology is activated.
7. Data retention and security
Records should be retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected,
operational needs, consent records, dispute resolution, and applicable legal, regulatory,
FMO, carrier, or business requirements. The developer should document production retention
periods before launch.
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards should be used. No
website, email system, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Visitors
should not use public forms to send sensitive identifiers or financial information.
8. Visitor choices and requests
Depending on applicable law and the nature of the request, visitors may ask to access,
correct, export, or delete information associated with them; withdraw educational-email
consent; change event communications; or ask a privacy question. Identity verification may
be required before completing a request.
Until a dedicated privacy email is approved, visitors should use the Contact page and select a privacy or website question. The
production site should replace this instruction with the approved privacy contact method.
9. Information public forms do not request
numbers, detailed health or diagnosis information, banking information, credit-card
information, account passwords, or copies of identity documents through a public website
form.
If a later approved enrollment or carrier process requires protected or sensitive
information, it must use the separate secure process approved by the applicable carrier,
FMO, vendor, and compliance reviewer.
10. Children’s privacy
The website is intended for adults, caregivers, families, and organizations seeking Medicare
education. It is not directed to children under 13, and the public forms are not designed to
knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who
believes a child submitted information should use the Contact page.
11. External websites
The website may link to official government resources, retailers, calendar or appointment
systems, social-media services, and other third-party websites. A link does not transfer
this website’s privacy practices to the third party and does not imply endorsement. Visitors
should review the third party’s privacy notice before submitting information.
12. Updates and privacy contact
This policy may be updated as website features, vendors, laws, or approved business practices
change. The production page should display the effective date and last-updated date.
Material changes should be communicated when required.
Privacy questions may be submitted through the Contact page until
the approved privacy email and business contact details are entered in WordPress settings.

hosting, analytics, Meta Pixel, CRM, SMTP, calendar, appointment, FMO, carrier, and
data-retention configuration before publication.
